Skylights are windows which are placed-on the roof. They’re used to allow or let natural light enter, and may also be used-to allow in ventilation. Usually, there are certain factors which one needs to consider when selecting a skylight. These factors can include; placement, size, energy efficiency, type and functionality.

Usually, the rule says that the skylight will brighten the room 20 times its’ size. Another factor which is just as-important is placement of a skylight. Placing the skylight where there’s lots of sun exposure may lead to the house/room getting over-heated, especially in the warm climates. Basically, a eastern or northern exposure-position is recommended.
